My full name is Ms. Dawn Marie Yarr Escobar and I have been proudly teaching at Pioneer Union School District since 1992. I received my Liberal Studies degree from Fresno State in 1989. I have experience teaching first through eighth grade, however most of my time has been in sixth grade.

Growing up, I was priviledged to be the daughter of an Air Force officer; I lived in more than four states and three countries, but now proudly call Hanford home.  I experienced many different cultures and learned to see more similarities than differences in people. I am the proud mother of two grown sons, Joshua and Brandon,  In my spare time, I enjoy reading a good mystery, painting, spending time with friends and family, and of course traveling!
